I haven’t been doing anything scary, just raising – or growing- hair. Slowly, very slowly, but it’s coming along even if it’s still a bit thin.
Meanwhile the garden is continuing to wake up. The latest tree to bloom is the apple.
The pear blossoms are starting to break up
As are the peach blossoms, which annoyingly are all right at the top of the tree.
The nashi is looking good, lots of blossoms so hopefully a better harvest this season
Then at the bottom of the garden we have baby plums forming. Not getting too excited here yet, though, since we had lots at this stage last ear too and then lost most of them before they ripened
Then in the glasshouse we have the first tomato flowers and a first reddening strawberry
The weather is still very changeable, most days both wet and dry, cool and hot, but overall getting warmer. Summer is coming.
